Cornes RF Engineering and MilliBox launch an economical CATR at IMS 2026 in Boston

SAN JOSE, CA JUNE 02, 2026 --- MilliBox, the leader in compact benchtop mmWave anechoic chambers and antenna positioners, cooperated with Cornes RF Engineering, a pioneer in antenna and RF measurement solutions in Japan, to create an economical CATR solution for Ka-Band and V-Band. This original system uses the best of both company technologies to create a highly innovative solution for daily antenna radiation pattern capture.

This solution features the compact frame of MBX02 benchtop chamber from MilliBox, with the interior covered with ECP-03 wideband pyramidal absorber from Cornes. The 3D antenna positioner is MilliBox’s GIM06, controlled by the advanced multifunction MATEOS.NET software suite from Cornes compatible with most VNAs on the market. The CATR capability that CRFE brings to this solution is achieved with a proprietary 40cm lens offering a quiet zone of 20cm developed by Cornes RF Engineering.
